How It Works:

The TOYPD2 connects directly into an available port on the back of your radio.  Because it directly connects, it is able to stream HD quality audio from your iPod into your radio similar to how a CD Changer works. By connecting directly to the radio, the  TOYPD2  is able to provide the digital quality music from your iPod that you are looking for. Absolutely NO FM transmission ever again for you and your car.

The TOYPD2 offers control of the iPod from the radio and steering wheel buttons. You will be able to change tracks up and down, playlists up and down, etc from the same buttons you currently change CD tracks and discs with. At the press of a button, you will also have full control from the iPod itself to your entire music and video collection. No need to worry, your iPod screen and click wheel will NEVER be disabled. You can access 100% of your iPod.

Text – TOYPD2 displays text offering even more integration! You will see the current song Artist – Title right on your radio display - radio must have Text or Title button.

The TOYPD2 offers power to and charging of your iPod while connected. So any trip, long or short you battery will never run out. When you change sources or turn off your car, your iPod will auto pause and shut off. When you get out of your car, your battery is fully charged and ready to go.

How It Installs:

The TOYPD2 comes with three parts: 1) the vehicle cable, 2) the  TOYPD2 control module and 3) the iPod cable. The  TOYPD2 is 100% plug and play – NO cutting or splicing any wires! Simply remove the radio, plug in the vehicle cable, connect the module and then the iPod cable. Route the iPod cable to your desired location and you’re done. The iPod is accessed on the radio by pressing the CD or SAT button on the radio. It can be installed by the Do-It-Yourselfer type or you can take it to ANY local installer, dealership, Best Buy, etc. If your not comfortable doing it, have a professional handle it. TOYPD2 comes with everything needed to connect this to your car; there is NOTHING extra to buy.

Technical Notes:

• Works on ALL Nav and Non-Nav Radios, ALL radios use this kit.
• Browsing and access to Artist, Album, Genre, Audiobook & Podcast folders available on 5th Gen Nav Radios that have MP3 support .
• Text is supported on:
• All non-nav radio's with a "Text" button.
• Nav radios with a "text" or "title" button on screen.
• All Nav radios 2006 & up (mp3 capable Gen 5 Nav systems)
• Radio model 18904 (base model) doesn't support text. Normally found in 05/06 models-Tundra.
• Steering Wheel Controls are maintained and continue to work as normal.
• Land Cruiser 2001-2003 & Sienna 1998-2002 requires CAS-TLC to retain factory steering wheel controls.
• LEXUS IS 01-05, GS 01-03, ES 02-03, SC 05-08 & LS 01-03 require CAS-LEX for the adapter to work. Must add this cable.
• In-Dash CD Changer is not affected or disabled.
• If you have an External CD-Changer (usually found in trunk, glove box or center console) it is NOT affected as long as your radio is SAT Radio capable. Some radio's will accept MD programming as well. If it's not SAT or MD capable, and will only accept 1 changer, then the cd changer must be disconnected. Radio must be CD Changer Ready.
  
• Rear Seat Entertainment/DVD is not affected or disabled. It will function as normal.
• Factory Satellite Radio is not affected or disabled. It will function as normal.
• Radio/Models/Etc NOT COMPATIBLE:
• 2009-2020 vehicles with USB Audio input not compatible with this kit.
• Radio Model AD6807 (usually found in Camry) is NOT compatible.
• Avalon 05-09 NAV Radio - Not Compatible. Non-Nav works fine.
