STEP 1: Make Sure Your Vehicle is Selected Above

• The PA11-VW6 is compatible if your vehicle has been selected above.
  
• If it still says "Select Make, Model, Year", then you MUST enter your vehicle details and hit "Find Products" to confirm this product IS compatible.

VW Technical Notes:

• 2009 Vehicles:
• Non-Nav radio MUST have an SAT button. All other radios, not compatible
• Navigation radio MUST have "BAND" button located on BOTTOM of radio, NOT left hand side. All other radios, not compatible
• Compatible with ALL VW radio, regardless of size to type (single or double din, monsoon, etc...)
• VW's 98-99: Radio must have presets 1-6 in ONE row, not TWO rows of 1-3 & 4-6
• In-Dash CD Changer is not affected or disabled.
• Factory Navigation radio IS compatible.
• 2009 model Nav is not compatible.
• Sat Radio is not affected or disabled. It will function as normal. The manual comes with instructions for retaining SAT Radio.
• Text - 2006+ EOS, Golf, Jetta, Passat, Rabbit with SAT button can have text on the radio. Please see i-VW-Sat
• Text is ONLY available on these models and SAT radio must be disconnected to use the kit. The PA11-VW6 does NOT affect SAT Radio.
• If you have Factory Rear Seat Entertainment/DVD, it MUST be disconnected to use this adapter.
• If you have an External CD-Changer (usually found in trunk, glove box or center console) it must be disconnected.
• If you want to keep the CD Changer, you can use:X3VWR-POD
• To Keep the Ext Changer radio MUST be the "Single Din" radio (2.5-3in in height) not the larger double din/monsoon size.

How It Works:

Sound Quality: The PA11-VW6 connects directly into an available port on the back of your radio. Because it directly connects, it is able to stream HD quality audio from your iPod into your radio similar to how a CD Changer works. Never use another Cassette or FM transmitter again! These can't compare to the quality of a direct connect adapter.

Control On Radio: The PA11-VW6 offers control of the iPod from the radio and steering wheel buttons. You will be able to change tracks up and down, playlists up and down, from the same buttons you currently change CD tracks and discs with.

Control On iPod: You will also have full control on the iPod/iPhone itself to your entire music and video collection at the press of a radio button. No need to worry, your iPod screen and click wheel are not permanently disabled. On iPhone/Touch you have complete access to Apps like Pandora, Sirius/XM or any streaming music program. It will play just like your iPod music (no radio control). You have access to 100% of your iPod/iPhone.

Charging: The PA11-VW6 offers power to and charging of your iPod while connected. So any trip, long or short you battery will never run out. When you change sources or turn off your car, your iPod will auto pause and shut off. When you get out of your car, your battery is fully charged and ready to go.

Aux Input: The PA11-VW6 also comes with an aux input. Connect ANY device with an audio input jack like Sat Radio, Mp3 player, DVD. It's easily accessed from a radio button and the input is a red/white RCA.

Phone Calls: The PA11-VW6 is an AUDIO adapter. Per Apple's design, the PA11-VW6 will not interact with phone calls. Apple doesn't allow audio kits to also hear a person's voice through your speakers. When a phone call comes in, it will behave like it does now, the music will pause and it will switch over to the phone call. You will need to use an earpiece, handsfree car system, bluetooth, etc. They will work the same as they do now, no change.

How It Installs:

Installation: The PA11-VW6 is an easy install for the average Do-It-Yourselfer. It's 100% plug and play, NO cutting or splicing any wires! Simply remove the radio, plug in the vehicle cable, connect the ground wire, connect the module and then the iPod cable. Route the iPod cable to your desired location and you’re done. Who installs it?

• The Do-It-Yourselfer type or ANY local installer (Best Buy, Local Chain, Mom&Pop, etc).
• Are you sure that any installer can do it?
• YES! The installers basic training, qualifies them! The main part is to remove the radio, and they do that all day long.
