• The PA11-HON is compatible if your vehicle has been selected above.
  
• If it still says "Select Make, Model, Year", then you MUST enter your vehicle details and hit "Find Products" to confirm this product IS compatible.

STEP 2: Review the technical notes

Technical Notes:

Acura (these notes ONLY apply to Acura):

• Single CD AND In-Dash 6 CD radio is compatible.
• Factory Navigation radio IS compatible.
  
• Rear Seat Entertainment/DVD may be able to be kept depending on the factory connections. We have seen some MDX-RSE systems that were able to be maintained. No specific data has been collected though so please note that it may need to be disconnected.
  
• If you have an External CD-Changer (usually found in trunk, glove box or center console) it must be disconnected.
• CD Player/Changer that is separate from the radio:
• Some vehicle models offered an add on CD player, which we call a slave device.
• Some vehicle models offered a CD Changer that is technically in the dash but its external bc it plugs into the radio.
• If your radio has a separate CD player/changer above or below it, it MUST be disconnected. SEE EXAMPLE PICTURES BELOW.
• If you want to keep the Slave CD Player/changer, you can use: X3HON98-POD
• Do NOT confuse with a true in-dash CD Changer that is inside the radio.
  
• 91-02: Radio MUST have a CD button, regardless of whether radio has a CD player.

Honda (these notes ONLY apply to Honda):

How It Works:

Sound Quality: The PA11-HON connects directly into an available port on the back of your radio. Because it directly connects, it is able to stream HD quality audio from your iPod into your radio similar to how a CD Changer works. Never use another Cassette or FM transmitter again! These can't compare to the quality of a direct connect adapter.

Control On Radio: The PA11-HON offers control of the iPod from the radio and steering wheel buttons. You will be able to change tracks up and down, playlists up and down, from the same buttons you currently change CD tracks and discs with.

Control On iPod: You will also have full control on the iPod/iPhone itself to your entire music and video collection at the press of a radio button. No need to worry, your iPod screen and click wheel are not permanently disabled. On iPhone/Touch you have complete access to Apps like Pandora, Sirius/XM or any streaming music program. It will play just like your iPod music (no radio control). You have access to 100% of your iPod/iPhone.

Charging: The PA11-HON offers power to and charging of your iPod while connected. So any trip, long or short you battery will never run out. When you change sources or turn off your car, your iPod will auto pause and shut off. When you get out of your car, your battery is fully charged and ready to go.

Aux Input: The PA11-HON also comes with an aux input. Connect ANY device with an audio input jack like Sat Radio, Mp3 player, DVD. It's easily accessed from a radio button and the input is a red/white RCA.

Phone Calls: The PA11-HON is an AUDIO adapter. Per Apple's design, the PA11-HON will not interact with phone calls. Apple doesn't allow audio kits to also hear a person's voice through your speakers. When a phone call comes in, it will behave like it does now, the music will pause and it will switch over to the phone call. You will need to use an earpiece, handsfree car system, bluetooth, etc. They will work the same as they do now, no change.

How It Installs:

Installation: The PA11-HON is an easy install for the average Do-It-Yourselfer. It's 100% plug and play, NO cutting or splicing any wires! Simply remove the radio, plug in the vehicle cable, connect the module and then the iPod cable. Route the iPod cable to your desired location and you’re done. Who installs it?

• The Do-It-Yourselfer type or ANY local installer (Best Buy, Local Chain, Mom&Pop, etc).
• Are you sure that any installer can do it?
• YES! The installers basic training, qualifies them! The main part is to remove the radio, and they do that all day long.
• But I didn't buy it from them, will they still install it?
