How It Works:

The iPAC-CHY / ISCH73 connects directly into an available port on the back of your radio. Because it directly connects, it is able to stream HD quality audio from your iPod into your radio similar to how a CD Changer works. By connecting directly to the radio, the iPAC-CHY / ISCH73 is able to provide the digital quality music from your iPod that you are looking for. Absolutely NO FM transmission ever again for you and your car.

The iPAC-CHY / ISCH73 offers control of the iPod from the radio and steering wheel buttons. You will be able to change tracks from the same buttons you currently change CD tracks and discs with. At the same time, you will also have full control from the iPod itself to your entire music and video collection. No need to worry, your iPod screen and click wheel will NEVER be disabled. You can access 100% of your iPod. The iPAC-CHY / ISCH73 also comes with an additional aux input for connecting any device with a headphone jack like Sat Radio, Mp3 player, etc. It is easily accessed from a button on the radio.

The iPAC-CHY / ISCH73 offers power to and charging of your iPod while connected. So any trip, long or short you battery will never run out. When you change sources or turn off your car, your iPod will auto pause and shut off. When you get out of your car, your battery is fully charged and ready to go.

How It Installs:

The iPAC-CHY / ISCH73 comes with three parts: 1) the vehicle cable, 2) the iPAC-CHY / ISCH73 control module and 3) the iPod cable. The iPAC-CHY / ISCH73 is 100% plug and play – NO cutting or splicing any wires! Simply remove the radio, plug in the vehicle cable, connect the module and then the iPod cable. Route the iPod cable to your desired location and you’re done. The iPod is accessed on the radio by pressing the CD or SAT button on the radio. It can be installed by the Do-It-Yourselfer type or you can take it to ANY local installer, dealership, Best Buy, etc. If your not comfortable doing it, have a professional handle it. iPAC-CHY / ISCH73 comes with everything needed to connect this to your car; there is NOTHING extra to buy.

  • Do you have the REF/single cd radio? If so, this adapter does NOT work, BUT the other 2 adapters below do work.

We have 3 possible adapters for your car depending on its options. Please look over the following kits to determine the right kit for your car, please read carefully.

• iPAC-CHY - Adapter currently selected
• Factory Satellite Radio is not affected or disabled. It will function as normal.
• Vehicle Entertainment System/DVD is affected (but can be retained)
• It will still work, but the VES audio will only play through the headphones, not over the speakers.
  
• If you want to want the VES audio to play over the car speakers, a modification can be made to the iPAC-CHY harness. This will allow the VES to continue to work the same as it does now.
• Instructions WILL come with the kit on how to do this. It is recommend that a professional installer perform this modification to assure its done correctly.
• If you don't want to bother with the modification, please use our X3 product below.
• NOT compatible with the REF model radio
• CHRY04-POD/SA
  • Rear Seat Entertainment/DVD is not affected or disabled. It will function as normal.
  • Factory Satellite Radio MUST be disconnected.
  • Works with ALL radio's above.

The Pros quick tips:

• If you DO or DON'T have SAT radio subscribed to, USE the iPAC-CHY. This is the most popular kit that should be chosen. (Some affects to Rear DVD).
• If you DO have Rear DVD or the REF radio, USE the CHRY04-POD/SA, (must not have SAT radio subscribed to).
• If you have BOTH SAT radio subscribed to & Rear DVD use the X3CHRY04-POD. We ONLY recommend using this kit if this is your current set up.
